Arrival at Hamburg Airport

The S-Bahn (suburban rail network) line S1 operates every 10 minutes between Hamburg Airport and Hamburg central railway station (Hauptbahnhof), a journey of only 25 minutes. The “Hamburg Airport (Flughafen)” S-Bahn station is directly in front of the terminals and is easily reached by lift, escalator or stairs.

Arrival at Frankfurt Airport

The long-distance railway station is at the AIRail Terminal, right next to Terminal 1. Trains arrive at and depart from platforms 4 to 7. Upon arrival at long-distance train station, passengers can drop off their flight baggage immediately at the "Baggage check-in at the AIRail Terminal".  Please inform yourself in advance whether your airline is offering Check-In-Service at AIRail Terminal.

From Hamburg Central Station

Trains operate nearly every 30 minutes between Hamburg’s central railway station (Hauptbahnhof) and Lüneburg railway station. The Intercitys rotate with the trains of the Metronom, both need approximate 30 minutes for the trip.

Next to the Lüneburg railway station is a bus station with the bus lines 5011 and 5012 operating approximate every 10 minutes. Please take care of the correct direction of busses.
