A barge trip through the illuminated Speicherstadt and the Port of Hamburg. SCHIFFSHEBEWERK SCHARNEBECK

The Scharnebeck twin ship lift is on the “Elbe-Seitenkanal”, which connects the and the Mittellandkanal. The boat lift was built in Scharnebeck to the North-east of Lüneburg in 1974 and was at that time the largest ship lift in the world. Visit the ship lift daily from 10.00 till 18.00 o’clock.
